Asset & Wealth Preservation

Also known as “Estate Planning”, it is one of the most important, but often times overlooked
areas for many people. Whether you are just starting to build wealth, or have an established
portfolio, you need to think about how to preserve your assets for current and future generations. If you are a parent, you will want to start to think about how to plan for your children after you are gone. We will educate you on why doing nothing in this area is not an option and then will walk you through the entire process by helping you organize your assets and develop a proper estate plan that will fulfill your wishes while also protecting and distributing your assets in a way that will minimize costs and taxes after death. We will also help you plan for all eventualities, including plans for guardianships, business succession, and drafting of trust documents, powers of attorney, advanced healthcare directives, living wills, HIPAA authorizations, and related documents.

We represent businesses and individuals in the acquisition and sale of all real estate asset types, including both residential, and commercial. We will walk you through all stages of your transaction, including the negotiation, due diligence, and drafting of purchase and sale agreements, until a successful closing. We also handle all real estate disputes, including transactions and the ownership and leasing of property. We are well versed and experienced in the issues that trigger disputes and will help you reach a positive resolution.

We help businesses comply with workplace laws, and we advocate for the rights of employees and executives. We regularly advise our clients on how to navigate the plethora of ever-changing laws and regulations governing the workplace, and we successfully resolve employment disputes. If you run a business, we will guide you through all stages of the legal relationship you have with your workforce from employee interview to employee separation. This includes the drafting of offers of employment, independent contractor agreements, restrictive covenants like confidentiality and non-competition agreements, executive employment agreements, separation agreements, and employment handbooks and other work-related policies. We also advise clients on employment issues in corporate mergers and acquisitions, as well as those involved in financial restructuring. We are well-trained to spot issues with your company’s employment practices including its wage and hour practices, and will guide you through resolving them in advance of a sale of your business, as well as in connection with any complaints or government investigations you are subject to. We also offer anti-discrimination anti-retaliation, and anti-harassment training to companies to comply with state and local legal mandates.
